How the growing memory p_n is chosen; the default was fixed by benchmark. Memory::resolve turns it into a concrete window for a sample size.

The statistic’s own default: ⌈2 log n⌉ for most statistics, the shorter ⌈log n⌉ for the robust PACF (see Statistic::default_memory).

PowerLaw

⌊n^alpha⌋ — the Fine–Hwang-style power rule (power_memory is the alpha = 0.4 special case).
